Suck It Up
Today is my birthday, I didn't get a cake.
I must be the only one of my friends that knows how to bake.
It did hurt my feelings,
I'm not gonna lie.
They could've at least gotten a cake,
You know, the ones you buy.
You would think they would give some back.
After everything I gave, but I know
I should just shut up and be somewhat brave.
Even my boyfriend put me on the side.
Just so he can ride,
To the mountains.
While I was home crying several fountains.
That's enough of the weep,
Leave a message after the beep.
If there's something I sure did learn.
Don't try to cross over to someone who let our bridge burn.
The 24 hours were up and
I ended my birthday saying, "Bottoms up!"
