Dependent

A dependent dependant is crippled without his crutch.
Leaning while I'm walking,
                                 falling
                                   while standing up.
Can't keep on firm footing,
                         face racing for the dust,
the dirt, grit, ground, gravel.

Down on it as if I grovel
 before the supreme being
        whose name is needing.
Which is feeding me weakness,
       keeping me feeling helpless
like a feeble gene
           incapable of breeding

                       While this supreme feeling,
being the majesty before which I am kneeling,
                                              thrives
off my inability to maintain drive.

This sour pool of poison,
         a paralyzing potion
leaving me petrified,
                     deprived
                          of motion
Only action I'm able of executing
    is neurotically standing
       in a numb stupor
    managing only a notion
