Complimentary Breakfast

I woke up this morning
to a plate of complimentary breakfast
delights...

My son was in a sugar coma smiling
like a gleeful 3 year old...
with his 6 foot 4 inch self...cackling
because he could put chocolate
chips in his homemade waffle

He spelled Merry X mas on my pancakes.
and covered everything else...
eggs...
bacon...
and potatoes
In syrup....

I am grateful he brought
a couple of orange juices
As I take the largest mouthful ever
known to man...enjoying my
Christmas Breakfast/lunch/Dinner

I ate... and my son and I laughed
we laughed like we were rich
we laughed like we had everything
We laughed because the sugar set in
and took over our brains...
making us realize ...
that we had everything anybody could
want for christmas....sitting right
in this hotel room...we had
Each other.
