Empathy

my cell is body,
my body is a home,
and I can be so delicately low.

our grassroots beseech us,
and evidence lies beneath us,
but I deem to get closer,
if it ever did mean...
anything.

if there's empathy in love,
is empathy enough?
if there's empathy in love,
will I ever get enough?

my cell is body,
and my body is a home,
I'm sorry,
I'm so innocently low.

empathy ohh,
empathy ohh.

is there empathy in love,
is empathy enough?
if there's empathy in love,
must I deny us.

empathy,
stricken sickness,
I am witness,
to empathy ohh.
