that ways there will be justice,

If the reason you help

They will not be grateful,
they will not say thank you,
they will not point out
what a wonderful soul you have.

They will fucking nail
your sorry ass to a tree
and take all the credit
for themselves
that they believed
or had some sorry
excuse for faith
or did some great
wonderful paint
by number work
of goodness
with the help
of a team
that supports
and praises.

No one gives a goddamn
for the help you give,
the service you render,
or the sacrifices you make.

If they did,
it would all be
for the glory of it.  

Your values
are fucked up.

Do it because your guts
will not sleep at night
unless you do.

Give them your best
and then watch them
set it on fire.

To hell with getting credit.  
No awards!  
No trophies.  
No adulations.

for any reason
