Count your Blessings
The sun is shining in a cloudless sky
And yet, cold wind chills me to the bone.
I try to keep my head up, not to cry.
Alone I sit obsessing
My thoughts consume me
Of love and loss and days gone by.
I often think there is nothing left for me,
That this world is nothing more than tragedy.
Although my life has been good and bad
My pain is ever present.
And the times of happiness I've seen
Seem more like dreams than reality.
Why must I suffer and fight for what I need?
For those I love, I would gadly sacrifice;
Who will do the same for me?
"Count your blessings"
So I've been told...
Often the blessings are not what we long to hold.
For those I love, I would gadly sacrifice;
Who will do the same for me?
"Count your blessings"
So I've been told...
Often the blessings are not what we long to hold.
