Bad Habit

Everything I ever wanted  
was nothing you ever gave me  
Each day I wake not to see your face  
is the best day of my week.  
I've never been good at quitting  
or really at following through  
so you might find you might ask  
then what is it I do  
I just go back to you.  
 
I see it's hasn't been snowing again  
last year I think we made a bet  
we made the same one the year before  
and you still have not paid me yet.  
 
You're the worst bad habit,  
but you're so good at it.  
I think I've lost my head this time for sure  
so if I'm acting crazy,  
like I do so much lately  
it's my bad habit baby  
my bad habit made me  
 
A perfect situation  
well we were the opposite.  
You were just too cool to care  
and I could not get a grip.  
But you like to come by  
I think to remind me you can  
with barely even asking  
you can make this us thing happen  
again and again  
I need a new plan  
 
I see it's getting warm again  
taking layers off like shedding skin  
you look at me with heated eyes  
and I find that I'm drawn in
