Crossroad
Standing at this crossroad
My pulse quickens
My head is spinning
I feel weightless
I reach out for a hand
to guide me
And hope it leads me
where I need to go.
I have traveled on this journey--
Sometimes laughed, sometimes cried.
On this journey I have
felt loved, felt betrayed
felt joy, felt pain
felt blessed, felt cursed
Many times I have felt alone.
My journey has come to many crossroads;
I have chosen my path wisely at times,
As I have also made wrong turns.
I find myself again at a convergence--
My heart tells me this path might lead me home.
My head warns me to proceed carefully.
I will never know if this path is right
Until I travel it.
Hindsight is my only true way to know.
My pulse quickens
My head is spinning
I feel weightless
I reach out for a hand
to guide me
And hope it leads me
where I need to go.
I have traveled on this journey--
Sometimes laughed, sometimes cried.
On this journey I have
felt loved, felt betrayed
felt joy, felt pain
felt blessed, felt cursed
Many times I have felt alone.
My journey has come to many crossroads;
I have chosen my path wisely at times,
As I have also made wrong turns.
I find myself again at a convergence--
My heart tells me this path might lead me home.
My head warns me to proceed carefully.
I will never know if this path is right
Until I travel it.
Hindsight is my only true way to know.
