Lives Changed
We were together everyday
Laughing and playing
Skipping class
Being wild and free.
As the time passed
I changed
You changed
I stayed behind and made it to class
You choose the drugs over school books
Drugs over family and friends
But mainly over yourself
Now where are you ten feet in the ground.
Hope it was all worth chasing that high.
It's still so hard
I wasn't ready to say goodbye.

Melancholy... Relatable to me and others who have lost someone to drugs.
It's always such a shame to see someone go down the wrong path...
