From the "Mist of Avalon

 I remember all of those years ago,
When I thought that we would just be friends.
I shared the "Mists of Avalon" with you,
To help your broken heart to mend.
Somehow, within it's sagas,
I felt the future of us, even then.
Though I was blind to this dream,
My heart knew the truth and so did my pen.

And on the day of our first union,
I remember feeling, this is so right.
As your vision that day confirmed it,
With our spiritual kin applauding, saying, " Well it's about time"
I truly knew then babe,
What it was like to walk in the light.
As I'd finally found my soulmate,
With the joining of your heart and mine.

And on the day of our wedding,
With our family and friends standing by my side.
The dream of my heart,
Walked down the aisle into reality's light.
Just standing beside you babe,
I became as equally bright.
And I still hold onto that vision,
Of the angel, that became my bride.

Now I can't help but see you babe,
Within all of the books that I read.
As you so perfectly embody,
All of the beautiful female leads.
From the Priestess, to the Princess,
And the regal Queen.
From the heroic peasant, to the Goddess,
And all of the roles in between.

I can now truly see myself,
Standing under the same staring lights.
Filling the roles of the heroes,
From the Magicians and Princes, to the warriors of might.
However, in reality, I feel my role is much more,
Having you sharing my life.
As together, we are staring in our own epic story,
By living the legend of "You and I"
