It needed to be said

Tears flooding from my eyes
Silently to myself I pray
For me to be living is a gift I realize
Every hour and every day

Safe and well
God is watching over me from above
I'm lucky to be alive, a story my health records can tell
He has plans for me as he gives me care and love

Watching me every step of the way
I thank him and his son Jesus for that
I feel very thankful and fortunate today
Knowing we do not have seven lives like a cat

I say a prayer for my family and friends
For forgiveness and for my girl friend
Life is like a river with many curves and bends
So close to death again, yet I do not want it to end

I'm thankful for all my talent that was given
For being born and being me
From sports, being a good friend and every story I have written
To live life with passion and creativity

Walking and breathing this air
Finding love which I thought was forever lost
From the bottom of my heart I thank you God and Jesus who reside up there
Sins have been done, a world with no regret a steep price it shall cost
