One Last Goodbye

I feel your body in my arms
so small and fragile

Nuzzling into my chest
breathing shallow deep breaths


You then look up into my eyes
and whisper the words I love you

A tear falls from my eye
and I repeat the same


I then squeeze you tight
hoping to never let go

combing my hand through your hair
I feel you cry

But alas it has to happen
I let go and look into your face on more last time

Tears stream down your cheeks
accentuating your hazel eyes

You look down as if your gonna collapse
knees wobble, but you stay up

Once again you lift your head to look into my eyes
and whisper, one more final time
I love you...........
