Swept Away By A Sunset
The days came; the years went.
You were swept away; by a sunset.
Dusk returned; you're still missing.
Raise your voice; so i can listen.
Nevermind; Ive gone deaf.
So why's your voice; still in my head?
Today the wind; blew back your shell.
I closed my eyes; and wished you well.
The prayers came; the tears went.
You were swept away; by a sunset.
Cold blades; made my heart warm.
When sunrise; brought a thunderstorm.
But warm tears; made my blood cold.
As I watched your innocence unfold.
Come back to me; need me again.
Come back old friend; come back old friend.

I like this. It has a nice flow and theme. I'm confused by the "innocence unfold" though. I have an idea, but its meaning is unclear at least to me. However, I may be having a DUH moment!
