Sing the Rage of the Fierce One

It was a hot, blistering hour at the late dawn in ancient Greece.

The crowd is gathered, and the leader is enraged

As the request for the return of a kidnapped one is refused.

A champion is summoned after dishonor is inflicted upon,

But he says he would no longer go to combat,

As a god granted the absence to the fierce champion of the Achaeans.

Though he made a withdrawal, the warriors were successful,

But were driven back to camp, stopped by the wall.

Torn, they could be, and the ships were on the verge of flames,

That would terminate the entire war.

The fierce one demanded for return, but was rejected.

A ship was burned, and the commander’s close friend

Steals the armor owned by the fierce one to lead the army.

Though the armor went to new possession,

The close friend was killed by the commander

And wears the armor, as the ancient war moved on in progress.

Furious, the fierce one exploded in grief,

He is sworn to murder with revenge.

Slaughtered, the protectors were, thanks to the fierce one.

Most retreated, but not the commander,

Outside he persists because he was fooled by a goddess trickster.

The fierce one kills the commander, and drags his body,

Defying returning for proper burial.

Funeral games were conducted, and the body was returned.

Thus the army is in the fall with the funeral of the commander.

Months later, the fierce one dies in war as he is shot on the weak spot,

Hence the end of the ancient war.
