Where Are We Walking?
Hey, Mr. Dinosaur
you really couldn't ask for more
You're God's favorite creature
but you didn't have a future
When Sting talked about the things we have done
and all the perils from which we must run
Might tell us that we are anything but mild
god bless anyone who has a child
Walking in your footsteps
Walking in your footsteps
Walking in your footsteps
Walking in your footsteps
The man Henry David tried to explain
that it isn't all about the fame
If you have to play make it your own game
no burdens just your name to claim
Hey, mighty brontosaurus,
Don't you have a lesson for us
Thought your rule would always last,
There were no lessons in your past
Henry David's disciple an Indian Saint
a peaceful picture he tried to paint
But envy split his county apart
peacemaking now seems a lost art
You were built three stories high
They say you would not hurt a fly
If we explode the atom bomb
Would they say that we were dumb, well
And now we have charlatans pretending to be doves
the guys want to be president always praise up above
Nobel Peace Prize winner who conducts war
loves the middle class but ignores the poor
They say the meek...shall inherit the earth
They say the meek...shall inherit the earth
Walking in your footsteps...footsteps...footsteps
Walking in your footsteps
