Different

So what if I'm different
Stand out in a crowd
Do you think I'm trying
To be cloaked in a shroud
Call me names will you
See what that does
The more you talk
The more my name's a-buzz

It doesn't matter
If you like what I do
It's not my life goal
To be pleasing you
I blaze my own trail
I do what I want
But I'll give you props
For that popular stunt

To single me out
Make me feel alone
Sorry to tell you
That feeling's gone
So walk away slowly
Turn tail and run
It's to bad that I
Ruined all your fun

There's others like me
Different to view
But get to know them
And you'll get a clue
That just 'cause we're different
Doesn't mean we're diseased
We all live the same way
Up on our feet die on our knees

So quit all the hate
And look at the truth
See that this
Is what we teach youth
That everybody's same
No one is a freak
And hating in them
Means that you're weak
