Journey Pt. 2
My companion and I ran across the pearl pink sands. We stood on a dune of sand to see the mountain summit in the far distance touching the hazel green sky. My companion looked to me with excitement and slided down the pink dune. I watched him run before looking back to me, I followed after him. We walked and found a ruin with a torn silk carpet swaying softly with the wind. I was a bit unsure why it was here but my companion was curious and he touched it. We watched it as it restored and withdrew into the broken ruin. I looked to my companion with disappointment before walking past him as he stared into the ruin. Suddenly sand blew from the ruin and I looked back as a path opened. My companion walked closer to have a look inside but it was too dark to see. I urged my companion to step back but he just stared confused. soon after a cloth creature soared from the dark tunnel. Me and my companion watched as it gracefully flew around us. It was different from those we seen before it was was more of a carpet than a cloth. It suddenly swooped down circling around my companion before flying across the sands towards the mountain. My companion hastened to follow after it and without a choice so did I.
We walked under the gentle rays of the evening sky following the red silk carpet. My companion stopped and looked around and I looked back to him puzzled. He then walked towards a lonesome dune and stood looking into nothingness. I called to him as he turned to me with a serious look. I had a feeling he was already exhausted and sighed before following where the carpet went. My companion looked saddened before following after. He then slipped rolling down the other side of the dune, out of my sight. I looked back before rushing to the dune to find him laying in the sand. I rolled my eyes before sliding down the sands to his side. I nudged him as he lifted his head looking to a lonesome flower. He shot right to his feet and ran towards it. I looked at him again puzzled once more unaware of why he's so excited. I walked to his side with the flower in full veiw. My companion stared to it in awe as I looked to him suddenly proud of what he found. I nudged him again and looked to the summit to where the calls came from. He then nodded and rushed to the path ahead of me again. I walked before stopping to look to the flower wondering how my companion was able to notice it here. The carpet flew in circles up top the large pearl hill. When we reached it we found a stone castle where the sands danced with the winds and more of the carpet creatures soard. I knew something was up top the the stone blocks and so did my companion. I made sure I was to go first and promised my companion I'd guide our way. We then surfed down the large hill and touched the cold piled stones. Racing along side the carpets who provided support to carry us over to the top. The air was clear of sand on the top of the stone castle. We stepped up the stairs to an altar where a statue of the figure stood. The glowing circle appeared as well and slowly we stepped in.
I was greeted by the white robed figure and it showered me with another vision. It showed me how they managed to control the mysterious creatures. They were able to build cities reaching high into the sky. The figures showed they're glory and passion for the civilization they built. The light subdued and my companion looked to me having the same vision I had, he was in awe to they're accomplishments. Soon a gate opened releasing carpets into the sky and two waited down the stairs of the altar. We went to them and they carried us over the ruined city. I was in awe too to they're accomplishments but something from the back of my mind ask "How could this be in all they're glory?"
We glided across the sky and saw a river of sands flowing through the ruined city like a flood, this was our stop. My companion was excited as he always was and so was I for a change. We jumped off the carpets and surfed through the sunken city overwhelmed by sand. My companion passed through gates and dodging rocks along my side. we raced with the mysterious creatures going into a long narrow tunnel with a wall of sand falling. My companion and I broke through the gentle wall of sands and dropped to the ground. we stood and we looked along the walls and rocks in the evening sun. It's beauty shouted without words in a gentle tone. The cloth creatures danced in the sky as the carpets continued downward the sunken city. We called for the cloth creatures and our bodies went light once more as we soared on top the gate. We stood and looked to the carpets before looking to the towers. My companion pointed to the towers with knowledge of who made them. He then hurried down splashing into the river of sand and I watched to the towers for a moment. I then heard the calls of my companion and sighed lightly, I wonder if I can keep up with him. I jumped from the platform and glided along the sand following the seemingly endless wave of carpets. I felt the gentle kisses of the blowing breezes as I glided along the tunnel that had the evening sun sparkle the flowing sands. I went deeper into the sunken city and raced down a slump. I jumped from a ramp into the air closing my eyes as gravity had vanished for moment. I then spiraled down from the sky and landed in the hands of the soft sands. I stood looking around in the dark pit as my companion hurried to my side. He was overactive and I must admit so was I.
Soon a glowing circle turned our heads with the figure's statue gazing towards us. I looked to my companion as he nodded and we walked to the circle. I stood looking up to the white robed figure that had a saddened look. It stared into my eyes filling me with another vision. They're civilization did flourish in it's glory but like all things it had to end. The power they used from the mysterious creatures began to fade. They soon began to fight among themselves for what was left of the cloth creatures. In a desperate attempt they created giant stone golems, these golems had only one purpose for their existence. It was to find whats left of the remaining cloth creatures. They never did expect what would happen next. The things they built to help them regain they're former glory turned against them.
I sat as the light subdued and I looked to my companion as he stared to the statue with worry. I nudged him softly and he returned to me. We stood as tall gates opened behind the statue. We looked to each other and slowly went deeper into the sunken city as the moon shined through the holes in the ceiling.
