Fear that used to rule me

My heart beating as I imagine the
fear that used to rule me
Conquered me from my moral high ground
Tossing me into the ice cold debris
that used to be my kindness
Everything inside me is at a standstill
Has been for so long now

My past emotions have started to crumble
Into nothing but a sensation of the far away
and faded inactive eyes don't acknowledged
the world moving on.
We're stuck in the time when
the loving turned cruel
And left me to fold back inside myself
As bombing planes whirled above me
Implosions wrecking havoc on my soul
Leaving me vulnerable and emotionless

As if all the stars have just decided
to switch themselves off
As I am not worthy to see them
I would give anything to experience again
