Words
Some may say
I have a way
With words
Well,
Words have a way with me.
Words hurt
Lies
Pain
Hatred
Words made me
Who I am today.
Words.
Words.
Words.
They left my heart in the dirt.
And, Dammit,
It fucking hurt.
Words, they say
Cannot break your bones
Break your bones
Like sticks and stones.
Words, it's true, cannot
Break your bones.
They can tear up your soul.
Even when,
They once made you whole.
I love you, he said
He lied.
And I cried and cried
And I died inside
And on that day
Words washed me away.
Drowning in pain
It'll never be the same
Because, on that day,
Words left me
Alone in the rain
Alone in the rain
And I died that way.
Alone in the rain
Not a word to say
And you,
You just walked the fuck away.
Words.
Words.
Words.
They left my heart in the dirt.
And, dammit,
It hurt.
Words are so simple
You would never expect that
They'll make you break
They'll burn you at the stake
And, love,
I thought you'd like to know
That, love,
Blood gives no salvation
No mercy
No mercy
Cutting doesn't take
The edge off the pain.
Perhaps,
If I cut my heart right
Out of my chest,
It would finally end.
But, love,
There is no end
To this pain
Of dying, alone in the rain
And here,
Is where I will
Stay.
Alone in the rain.
Alone in the rains.
Because of the words you say.
When you walked the fuck away.
Though, it's funny. No, it's hilarious.
That despite all this hate
And despite all this pain
I'd start it all over
Just for one more chance
To hear you say
I love you
Before you walk away.
Maybe then
Words will have an end
And I will feel
No more pain.
But, until that day,
I will drown in this pain
And I
Will cut at my veins,
Like it keeps me sane
With you away
Because I love you
And I won't let myself die until
I know that you are
Okay
And I cannot imagine why
Why I still care. I mean,
You were never there
And I
Died alone in the rain
From the words you say
And I threw it all away
I threw it all away
No, I don't have a way with words.
Words
Have a way
With me.
I have a way
With words
Well,
Words have a way with me.
Words hurt
Lies
Pain
Hatred
Words made me
