My Last Sad Poem
I waited & you never came for me
So now all I have are my bags, that song & some memories.
I was tired & weak so much pressure in my chest
Had to swallow my grief, this was all for the best.
I don't mind the pain
Its a reminder that I survived
To bad I can't numb the the images
that run rapid in my mind.
They remind me that you & I were once "we"
not the people we are today
strangers passing in the street.
But There will be No more sad Poems, this is the last,
Ive boxed up all the hurt & I'm leaving it in the past.
When my mother taught me about the birds and the bees
she failed to mention the snakes
But life is indeed a lesson & I've learned from all my mistakes.
There will be no more sad Poems
