Dance with me
I need to start dancing again
do an old nasty dance
like Im in a basement party and all the bodies are sweating
kissing strangers while grinding my hips to the beat
hearts pulsating to the bass in the speakers
feeling like I could dance all night
or a silly dance
where i just wiggle around and laugh at myself
because I am the funniest person in the world
at least to me
or an Im happy dance
because Im alive and well...
and I have family and friends
and a JOB lol
Move my body like I know I can dance kind of dance dance ...

I remember : 2009-2010
In the middle of a war he found me..Prettiblack girl swinging my immaculate bob from side to side and he stopped dead in his tracks he asked to run his fingers through my hair and I looked at him like he done lost his mind.."you know about black girls and hair" from then he never let up until one day after all the chasing I gave in and lord Im glad I did. Ink my emotions
Listen...
Emotions flowing smooth like the ink in my pen
spilling my soul on blank sheets releasing everything within
from my trials tribulations and a few of my sins
this is my therapy
the shit I need when I need to mend
when no ones in my corner and Im the only one I can depend
Some shit be so deep I don't wanna tell myself so If I write that shit down

Pro Choice until...I had to make the choice
Sterile white walls
and smiling casual faces
to find such calmness
in this most unusual place
Quiet Bright lights beaming
legs open wide
anesthesia numbing my fears
as of now
I have nowhere to hide
My shame is evident
this outward manifestation of my wrong doings
all lead to this
3 to 5 minutes
9 weeks of growth
the humming of the machine
they said it would be easy
as easy as abortions go
But the sucking sounds
tore me
from my inner core
ripping life out of...

If I could
Id leap back in time
transport to the minutes that
you were mine.
If I could I give back the seconds
when I felt your lips pressed against mine

but I can't.
I can only go back and steal looks
at the pictures, poems
& remember
The feelings so hot
ended as cold as december

He Picked up my pieces
In the Aftermath of me & you
gave me an ear and a His shoulder
the one you gave me but as time went on grew colder
guess you can say he Picked up where you left off
gave me the things you refused
setting US up for success
in a time Everyone assumed Id lose

In my Feelings
Sitting in my feelings deep
my emotions are numb
but I feel the fear start to creep
reminding me of things Ive done
Past sins Ive committed
Old lies to and from Old Lovers
images of the filthy sheets where I laid still
asking myself how did I get here again
waking up next to him knowing damn well
he was going home to her.
Grimy shit
I can almost feel the tingles from the cold fingers
heavy on my shoulders
weighing down my soul
screaming let me go
but I cannot move.
The devils riding my back
or thats what My granny used to...
