A Mothers Protection

Door close face down on the bed,
Pillows to cover my head,
Trying to drown out the noise,
He has been drinking again
Veins over flowing of that liquid courage,
Trying to block his path
Moving behind the furniture
How could you put your hands on her
Eyes closed praying for him to protect my mother
Scars on her soul shows imperfections
But the smiles on the outside hides them to perfection
Crying on the inside
But won't let the outside show
A strong black woman derserves better than this
Doors slamming trying to get away
So confused don't understand
Climbing out of my window to go to a neighbors
Thumps to the walls roar through the house like thunder
Family pictures fall to the floor
Broken frames reflect imagine on a happy home
Smiles on faces of what once was
All that is left is blank faces and questions of
Is this love?
Is this how a man show love?
I was always told that a man should lay a hand on a woman
Love isn't shown with a mans fist..
Plotting on how I can save my mother from this.
Searching through the house the Sissors caught my eye
Walking through their door,
You touch my mother again I promise you TONIGHT YOU WILL DIE!!
Go to your room son,
I could see the torment of her soul
Sissor in my hand rage build
I tighten my hold
I lunged for him sissors enters his back
Then everything went black!
