Fledgling
I fell from the sky
all by myself
learning not to break a wing
hiding from cats at night
eating my own body weight
every day to survive
In the nest
they never mentioned glass
that window hurt my head
no-one told me
I couldn't fly everywhere
They just said
you're as free as a bird
