Flashes of red against the sky
Thunder and lightning
They began to shy
From man-made glory
Against nature’s backdrop
Iron birds that traverse the sky
Hatched eggs of destruction
to the people below

Listen to the screams
from the victims of war
waking up from pretty dreams
of a better tomorrow
a blissful prosperous year
screams of fear
shrieks of fury
the hurt and raging uproar

Listen to the music
Sharp and rapturous
the murder of people
by those licensed to kill
who act like Pavlov dogs
to the command of KILL
given by those within safe walls
with plenty to eat and drink

Listen you men in gilded cages
Of security in worlds of plenty
Leave us be in land unknown
Leave us in blissful ignorance
of your might in genocide
your power in massacres
We don’t need to know
your might of War.
