hidden there
i see something hidden
deep within your gaze
trying to figure it out
is a complex mental maze
yes, there's a certain fragilty
so neatly tucked away
behind a wall, so familiar
built on pains of yesterdays
so i sit here lost
starring in your eyes
your wall mirrors mine
your eyes reflect a thousand cries
your heart carefully guarded
by a wall as complex as mine
bricks of pain,mortar of hurt
chiseled by the hands of time
a tattered heart crumpled
barely beating, ripped to shreds
festering,oozing,dripping of agony
no tears left to be shed
no magic cure, no secret potion
to knock down walls and open hearts
dont know how to let love seep in
and fix all the broken parts
so afraid of getting to close
closer than skin
far beyond the physical
truly allow our souls to blend
can't trust lips
cause lips tell lies
so im lost, starring
seeking answers in your eyes

It's weird, the style seems so familiar to me, and yet I can't place it, but it's a brilliant, well done thing. Almost sounds like a song in many ways.

Nicely written. Makes me think back to when i had to win over my wifes heart.Had to break thru walls that were built over time as well as she did mines.
