Knowing a person is a personal thing
the depth of the genitals
the mind's organization
spiritual insight
moral gravity
blindsided mysteries
subluxations of fear
points of bias
unboundednesses
fetish avoidances
vices and quirks
capacity and tolerances
breadth of imagination
and distance gone to when slighted.
Seen naked
there is not much nakedness.
In the throws of a relationship
withdrawal
loneliness
bitterness
resentment
tone
insensitivity,
as well as orgasm
wretched underestimations
and French toast.
If it weren't for a few gentle words
a sense of affection
and some appreciation,
the only thing to gain
would be the sense
of having gotten out alive
and that only just barely
and in the nick of time.

There is something about being in a real relationship that really appeals to me...go all the way or just get out, but it makes me do things. I'm too hungry to just emotionally starve myself to death, Red.

True: going all the way is so beautiful, trying to hold on is exquisite in its own way but of course getting out after words become wasps stings is a relief...but one feel better I suppose for the experience. Methinks.
