Watch Me, Fall

A ship with ancient sails, creeps
unknowingly, to the edge of the world
cascading to death, on the head of a pyramid statue
the mysterious prodigy to night
Ship, sail into the mouth of eternity
Ship, beware.  Ship, survive.  Ship, cease.
Do not disappear with the tousled waterfall
into a serene blackness
onto the edge of nothingness
Ship, pull back.  Ship, wake up.  Ship, open your eyes.
nearer and nearer
under the pretentious sky
sail a last sail, ancient dwelling
jagged rocks can't save fate
speak to the shiny, black sea
become a friend to the charismatic sea
Sea, be calm.  Sea, open wide.  Sea, save me.
nocturnal fear, drown
lead the way, moon beam, lead the way
Ship, be done.  Ship, be brave.  Ship, farewell.
