Rise & Fall
Aimlessly running and hiding.
Avoiding truths blindly,
Moving forward while falling behind
Time a fragile privilege, I could never make mine
Anguish and despair prevail. Devoted evermore abiding
Concealing scars and wounds, just to bleed again
Shrouded in pain and misery, that never seems to end
A mutilated soul, solemnly useless and inconvenient
These hopeless breathes and heartbeats feel so pretend
Completely torn and hollow, rotting away from deep within
Tangled in torments, vacant awaiting an imminent end
Slight of hand, and twist of fate
Bright eyed, all systems disengage,
These ashes fall into decay, never again to rise, nor wake
Peace has come at last, a final resting place.
