"hidden treasures"

Its been awhile
since i last saw you
since i last tasted
the sweetness of your
words swirling in my head.

I must say
its thrilling
and all too consuming
the way you sometimes
pull me in
then quickly push me out
leaving me panting
for the next peak
the next climax
to come
oh how i hate when you
leave me to ponder
or the way you make me
tear up at a scene
but ill promise
you if you promise me
to read
read
read
if you never fall from my shelf
and tumble under my bed again.
