Storm
Thunder booms
Lightning flashes
Neon lights across the skies
Winds over the South China Sea
Hits the palm trees
And make them sing
A soughing dirge
Or an exultant aria
Rain falls like drums
Upon palm fronds
Thumps and booms
With tinkling cymbals
Floods on plains
Gushing towards the sea
Accompaniment to nature’s orchestra
When ending come
With repeated encores
Peace reign
As rainbow ties up the blue sky
Lightning flashes
Neon lights across the skies
Winds over the South China Sea
Hits the palm trees
And make them sing
A soughing dirge
Or an exultant aria
Rain falls like drums
Upon palm fronds
Thumps and booms
With tinkling cymbals
Floods on plains
Gushing towards the sea
Accompaniment to nature’s orchestra
When ending come
With repeated encores
Peace reign
As rainbow ties up the blue sky
