ugly

This is an interesting turn on conventional beauty. About time somebody did this.

I've been listening to Skunk Anansie's 'My Ugly Boy' alot recently and it came straight back into my head when I had finished reading it. The last stanza is the highlight for me.

So simple and innocent.

Haven't listened to Skunk Anansie for a few years now, just might do at some point.

Dig it..guick to "ugly" but pushes point over the top.

L5 I would end with awry,no comma, start L6 with framing comma but...simple suggestion. Same idea,would read a tad easier for me,not that it was hard just did quick doubleback to get it.

"if you want a happy life,
make an ugly woman your wife"

Well, lb, I left the comma after 'awry' and putting 'framing' after it to make the rhyme between 'awry' and 'eyes' much more subtle.
I think if I moved 'framing' to the next line the poem would look a little too ugly.

has condemned as ugly & 'in need of a makeover',
is indeed SomeThing........all Our contrivances toward 'beauty' feed the shitstorm of delusion that's become (nothing 'new' or recent)Our Collective Disconsciousness(daresay 'karma') that has been humanly de'evolving for 1000s of long-times now.......
