let me blanket you
with the energy radiating off of my skin
the heat raises off of my body
when thinking about you beneath me
looking up at me with doe eyes
I'll be the first to invade you
fear nothing
I am your guardian now
the shadow people will not touch you
while you are in slumber
they don't hold power above me
they fear me
they know what's due them
and in their time
they will scramble at the end of it all
to swear, this one or the other,
that they had no part in my suffering
but all will suffer under me
except for you
you have solidified a place with me
you have melted away the steel and bone
not by force
I opened these door for you
let me possess you
you are the princess and I am the god
we will have their necks
we will split their spines
we will carve our initials in their skulls
and tear their eyes
it's much more frightening
to not see what's coming
in this new darkness
they will know fear
