The Lights

I stand on that cliff with wind licking my lips
now surrounded by my brothers from the stars,
their arms around my waist and hands on hips,
to show me who and what we all are.

"This planet will burn, now with hatred, soon with
LOVE"
And I know this to be simple fact.
For we've turned too many corners in all of our years,
and none of us know the way back.

"But... we've got hope! WE'RE A SPECIES OF PASSION!"
I cry and I scream to the night,
now alone on the cliff and falling to my knees
without support from that light.

"As above, so shall be below"
So cryptic, these words,
but all I need know.
I smile to myself and turn to lie,
now awake and blinking and with stinging eyes.

They came so often
but now they have gone,
so alone on my cliff,
waiting for Earth to be One.
