Liberty
There was a time when freedom was true,
not sold on street corners between pages of newspapers,
nor voted for by citizens blinded by million-dollar posters.
There was a time when freedom was free.
I sign my name on a dotted line to bleed for a nation of children,
led by the hand to a world beyond their grasp
whilst taunted and teased with this notion of Joy,
but always lost before the dying gasp.
Men in suits are advertising my destiny,
charging me for their inconvenience
and it's only 40,000 dollars to be conceived now,
expensive for a baby being lied to by miscreants.
This planet is rotting,
a cancer in space,
perpetuated by the cock-sucking elite that would spew flame upon your home sooner than explain these problems to your face.
But fear not,
dear Sheeple,
You are free!
TO DO AS YOU'RE TOLD!
You are free!
TO DO AS YOU'RE TOLD!
You are free,
to pay for the mistakes of those who transcend this 'real' world.
You were free.
Alas, no more.
For war is love
and love is war.
You were free,
but not today.
Today, you work,
tomorrow, you pay.
not sold on street corners between pages of newspapers,
nor voted for by citizens blinded by million-dollar posters.
