Family UNIT - U and I Together
Family UNIT - U and I Together
Unity is Unity because “U” “N” “I” are Together
“Y”?
Because together we make a unit
Because together we are a family
Because together we make a house a home
Together we are one...
Father and Mother I Love You
Now it’s a used to be
“U” “N” “I” are no longer together
“Y”?
Because U left me
Because U made a choice
That excludes me
And I am left in between like a nit
Like I don’t belong,
When “U” left
I lost my Identity...
My sense of belonging
Because Daddy you chose the world over me.
Maybe Mommy did you wrong
Maybe you got hurt...
Maybe life was challenging...
Maybe this is what you didn’t want
Maybe you got scared...
Maybe I am too young to understand
Maybe...Maybe...Just Maybe
But did it ever occur to you that maybe...
Maybe I need you more as a family than just to know you as a father?
No one promised a free ride on earth
No one said it will be easy
But Daddy, I feel that it is more difficult when I don’t belong...
When MY identity is divided...
When MY home is “at moms” and “at dads”
When MY father chooses others over ME
When all I read on my mother’s face is despair...
Her strength is to keep us together...
Her fear is losing us...
But, Daddy you are meant to keep us United.
Unity is Unity because “U” “N” “I” are Together
“Y”?
Because together we make a unit
Because together we are a family
Because together we make a house a home
Together we are one...
Father and Mother I Love You
