Olympic Opening
What impressed me most
From the parade of nations
At the XXX Olympic opening ceremonies -
When looking into the faces of the young athletes
Was the fact they could be living down the street from me
Here in the United States of America,
It made me realize that all people
No matter what country, religion, or culture
They are from
Are all brothers and sisters in the Lord.
Then I realized that all humanity is one family -
And that the love we give and receive in out family,
Our country, can be extended
To the entire human family.
Knowing God as the parent of all creation
We are united with all people
And even the animals
As part of one family.

Once said in a verse:
"Embrace every man as your very own,
And shower your love freely wherever you go."
