The Window
I look out the window and what do i see,
except for a better version of me.
she did the right,
where i did the wrong.
where she spoke her mind,
and i just hid behind.
i cry through my pain,
when she holds her head high.
i look out the window and what do i see,
except for me,
just sitting there being who i wanted to be.
as i sit here looking out the window.
watching the better version of me.
i cry out loud.
just wishing to be that person outside my window
except for a better version of me.
she did the right,
where i did the wrong.
where she spoke her mind,
and i just hid behind.
i cry through my pain,
when she holds her head high.
i look out the window and what do i see,
except for me,
just sitting there being who i wanted to be.
as i sit here looking out the window.
watching the better version of me.
i cry out loud.
just wishing to be that person outside my window

I feel the regret, the sense of desire to be and the fear to do.

I sense the strong feelings of regret in this write. We all have those feelings. The what ifs as I like to call it... But our mistakes make us into who we are, and we must embrace that.
Nice write!

As does every great writer.
You are very welcome.
Keep writing!!! Let those words flow as if they were water cascading off of a waterfall!

Beautiful.. So young and so talented. Your writings of pain is so heart-melting.. Like i'd wish to hug you.. make you feel like you're perfect as you are... You'll always be the perfect person to someone... We cannot always be what everyone else wants us to be.. But instead who we ourselves were destined to be... You see someone and you think thats who you should be but in fact it is not so... as if it were, you'd have been that person... Not the one sitting, looking out the window.

Oh, my dear, that poem is so touching and truly from your heart... I can tell that very much! As Jamie-Leigh said, I would like to give you a big hug. And I'd tell you that you don't need to be someone else, you don't need to look outside a window, or outside yourself, to be happy. All you need to be happy and perfect, lies within your own heart and soul. It is there, even if life's sorrows make it hard to see it. But take my word for it, Taylor, it really *is* there! Your soul is perfect beacuse it is *your* soul and not anybody else's. If someone really loves you and cares about you, then they will see that perfection shining as bright as the sun itself, and they will be moved by it. But even should the whole world and every human being in it fail to see the beauty within you... never let that bother you. Hold your head up high, stay strong, and say to yourself: "I AM perfect. I AM who I want to be!" and you will find that what you thought existed outside of you... was within you from the very beginning. You need not look through that lonely window endlessly, my friend! Instead, let the sun shine on a face made glad, happy, and smiling with pride in who you are. There is a whole world of mindless people who are all alike out there... but there is only one you, only one Taylor. And that makes you special, and therefore perfect. Remember that, and never, ever let those who think they are "perfect" get you down. They are just shallow people who cannot see deeper than their own failure to see at all. --- Love and Light to you!
