Promised To The Devil

The Prince of Darkness whispered to me
"Your Mine, Promised To Me
You'll Be Mine, Just wait and see"

But when he sent his demons to claim me
In the name of Jesus my Great Grandmother made them flee
But even then the Devil wouldn't let me be

Somehow he planted anger in me
Like a wildfire it grew within me, see?
Even now from anger I am not free

There's only One who can save me
From becoming the monster the Devil wants me to be
He is the God of Love , he died on a tree

He is the God of Love
Came down for me from above
The Only One who's there when push comes to shove

He's the God of my ancestors, my family
He's The One who loves and died for me
And I know he is the only one who can save me, set me free

Grew up in this unseen war, promised to the Devil
But to Christ I chose to give my life because he loves me more
No, I chose not to be the Devil's Whore

I am Me
God set me free
Now I'm on my way to becoming who God wants me to be
