DEATH IN LOVE
DEATH came to love -- the day
you tore a page from life
and broke the vow
Stench crawled beneath -- the shadow
and cast a swath of pain
unconditionally allowed
The bee stung my lips -- lit fire
swollen lids became bruised
gnashing teeth in sorrow
And now your ghost -- living flesh
footsteps and breath you take
this day and for many tomorrows
If six feet under -- no chance
fate would seal an opportunity
but your ghost lives for now
