Isis in her eyes
I knew she no longer felt fear
when
she held firm to my hand
leading me past
the last of the road signs
three and a half pounds
of soft tissue
electrified beyond the solidity of skull,
Her skin
as vibrant as radioactivity
and lean enough
to pass spun electron
from inside
to out
creates chemistry,
and me as a crucible
consummated that charge
me
and her
within the other
spawned a dozen creation myths
when
she held firm to my hand
leading me past
the last of the road signs
three and a half pounds
of soft tissue
electrified beyond the solidity of skull,
Her skin
as vibrant as radioactivity
and lean enough
to pass spun electron
from inside
to out
creates chemistry,
and me as a crucible
consummated that charge
me
and her
within the other
spawned a dozen creation myths
