Grow up
You understand how life can be
Filled with awkward moments and everyone screaming woe is me
Is that anyway to live though
Waiting for a stretched out hand to be given
Surviving on handouts
Not given a shit about your appearance
Sitting in front of your tv screen everyday
Yelling at your kids because they actually like to play
To much noise always distracting to some moms and dads
Typing away talking to a stranger is easier then knowing your own children
It's very sad I must say
Parenting isn't just keeping your kids fed
Repeating the cycle is what happens to most
That shits so pathetic, to me it's a fucking crime
I feel sorry for some folks
Living life like a poor mans problems
With everything at your reach
Just to lazy to get up to try and find some kind of a life outside your walls
Tv won't pay your bills
The computer will slow your life down
And the person behind the screen
Is probably as unmotivated as you
Grow up
There's a big world out there
Learn it.
Be in it
Enjoy it

I only might change "poor mans problems" to "problems they have plenty enough money to erase" so it applies to all rich or poor. Other than that fucking, preach on! Let it flow crazy, pointed and as straight-on as you want.

Couple corrections: L6 should be giving or givin', and S2 L4 would be "too lazy". "Poor mans" should be "man's".

"Grow the fuck up" is more to the point.
Growing up "outdoors" was my fave toy. Rarely watched the boob tube and video games/computers were still in diapers being potty trained. I got to LIVE LIFE, experience things beyond my small corner.
I see the privilege of online world as we get to engage others in a site as this. That is huge for many as trying to find such a wealth of talent and soul in our physical world isn't likely. I've had creative friends most of my life but not to this degree. Circumstances cause some to be unable to reach out in daily life so the bond of friendship here is genuine for some.
And then we see the ones who choose "online" as living. A world of sand with an allure akin to a hologram. The ones who twitterpate and procreate through underdeveloped psyches and sit on their ass as the minutes slip into hours into days of nothingness.

This wasn't meant for anyone here. I just mean anyone in general. Few people around me , that rather watch tv then go out into the world. People asking for hand outs always. It's nothing to really do with the dup. Really. Oh I'd be the first to say it. Thanks for the love. And being outside was my toy also. I just never got a chance to do it.

Hey, GiGi, I'm so glad I don't subsribe to this. I confess that I spend approximately 1.5 hours a day on my laptop (or unless, I can't sleep), which is kind of out of context considering I want to be a novelist. And sometimes I forget to "log out" of DU which probably has other members thinking I must be a Lifer here. My kids need me. . .wait, let me re-phrase, my TEENS need me despite the fact they think they don't. Being a parent and keeping them occupied is a challenge, but life in itself is a challenge. True, many people get caught up with the TV and the PC's and their phones, and tend to forget (as you have stated) there is a world out there. And what amuses me in all of this is what would happen if we, as a society, experienced some sort of digital meltdown? It would be total fucking chaos!

Yes agree. I never log out either. My safari browser is always logged on. So some may think I'm here all day but in actuality I'm here 1 hour tops some days less. Some days more. Just easier to turn to the page and not have to put my name in and password and all that jazz lol. I have two teens also well one pre teen . It's hard and it's full time. On top of a full time job. No man for now thank god :-) but this wasn't meant for people here. It's just everyone I know is so boring and just want tv. Or video games and no lives really . I don't see the hype. Facebook to they're hooked. Farmvilles and all that. I'm living while they fall in love with strangers online lol. It's just freaking weird to me. But thanks for the comment ..
