The True Soul of a Man
What defines the true soul of a man?
not the clothes he wears or the car he drives,
how much money he makes
or where he lays his head at night.
After initial introductions have passed,
I see beyond the façade and the swagger,
discover the depth of the man behind the mask
let the truth pierce me, mind over mere physical matter.
“Seek and yee shall find” look deeply into what he writes,
you will begin to see all that you want to know
more so than his words which can be just a guise,
it is that passion behind them that breaths them to life.
A chivalrous spirit that strife did mold,
he gives himself in the words that gently unfold,
firing the imagination in ways that defy ,
making everything he writes come alive.
The feeling of subliminal messages,
just within reach yet never
enough to know the phrases,
tug at the edges of the pages.
An enigma with a plan,
he is a challenge of a man,
revealing just enough to capture
the interest of his fans.
I watch from the peripheral,
to the side of the stage I stand,
watch all the orchestration,
but I refuse to join the band.
He is beyond reach, but I do love to read
everything done by his hand,
passionate yet silent admiration
gives birth to untold inspiration. [/center]

That's a good way to put it, very apropos,"my mojo" is very real and firing on all cylinders lolol

Lovely write, there are indeed those who manage to capture a little something of our inner selves. We somehow catch a feeling of affinity, there just beyond our reach.
