The Heart's A Body In The Ocean

A linen netted
like ones for
fish.

Her flesh
rose and
fell
along with
and
against the
fish net.

The ferry's horn
muled outward
causing her to shudder.

The dock had been cold and still,
all of which pressed down
on her tousled blue head
in a thundering, thumping
sadness.

The river beds were dry
and the seas
empty before.

She cried for her love,
salt water spilling from
her lids, endless liquid
rolling and fighting for
sweet sighing release.

Behind her lips
filled and burst
her breath rasped;
her first breath.

The atmosphere burned
and for that no one was there
to feel sorry.
The kelp and the crabs and the
poised sharks would agree;
the raspberry sky was a pleasant sight
to a macabre, and expected end.
