Possession

I'm possessed by persistent priorities,
My words are held back like history's minorities.
I don't express equal rights anytime that I write,
Don't trust the letters whether black or white,
Wrong or right.
I bleed ink on the page deep into the night,
Sustained by the light of the moon,
The only light in my room is the light that shines from within,
Sparkle in my eyes like they're hiding my sin,
And I test the limits again.
Until the end of time,
At the end of the line,
I want my conviction read aloud in rhyme,
It's the only language that moves me.
Let the death of my mind go smoothly,
And the death of the world go fast.
We weren't meant to last,
Generations closer to the final class,
And that final task.
Fix the unfixable, impossible dream,
The worst we've ever been remains to be seen,
I can't picture the scene, if you know what I mean.
It's dangerously close, feel the heat of the flames in the smoke,
and I choke, you've lost hope, and I joke.
If there's alien life, they must be keeping their distance,
Cause you don't fuck with mankind while we end our existence.
