Humanity
My humanity is the quality
and condition of being human.
It allows me to be humane
in the face of brutality,
kind when maliciousness
is the order of the day.
To be benevolent
when as far as the eye can see
all that is visible is the malevolence
that hate wantonly decrees.
I have felt sympathy when no one else
seemed to understand,
tenderness with those
that life has treated hard.
To have goodwill even though
malice and distrust is expected,
be compassionate even when
the heart cannot see what is affected.
Considerate although, “each man for himself”
is thoughtlessly suggested.
It made me an empath,
feeling in my flesh the pain of others,
as if we were all in some way connected.
But most of all, to forgive the unforgivable,
to love when it would be inconceivable
and even though it would hurt, to feel …

You echo my heart. Easy to love and give to those who offer in return. Easy to love those of good cheer who appreciate the hearthugs.
We live in a world akin to a flock of birds ever fluttering and changing direction as the wind and weather alter. No clear vision or thought beyond the moment.
It is a world hurting with needs unmet and rarely noticed. Reaching out with a steady hand that has no agenda beyond compassion...THAT is the sweetest moment of our fragile humanity.

imperfect as we exist
even i am guilty of this
because im confrontational for disrespect
but your words make me reflect
on how i TRY to have a soft heart
but the warrior within says to stop it at the start
it is what it is & i wont deny that
but your words give me hope & thats an actual fact
because i Love all....even the haters too
i care & i share but i wont hesitate to defend what is true....
even i am guilty of this
