Deep With In

 
Deep within you
There is a beast
Waiting to be set loose
But you keep his cage airtight
You feed him the anger
That you never use
But tonight the beast
Releases itself
From the grasp of the cage
And attack your loved ones
But you had no control
Because the beast was loose

Deep with in your heart
Lay those secrets
That you have kept
In a pile for so long
Tonight they leaked
Out of your mouth
Like a broken spigot
Watching them drip
One by one
Off the corner of your lips
Burning me
Like a wildfire

Deep with in your soul
Lies the inner child that
You never had a chance to release
The one that your father killed
The one that your mother tried to bring back to life
That child never had a chance to live his life
So your soul rots
And tonight
It finally died
Because it couldn’t take
The emptiness any longer
