our old conversation
Looking through my phone today,
I found our old conversation,
As I opened it,
I was sure it would bring my heart desolation.
Scrolled through the entire thing,
Reading every lie,
As the time passed I realized,
I didn't want to die.
They only brought up memories,
That no longer cause me pain,
I don't care for them anymore,
They can't drive me insane.
I laughed at how dumb I was,
You really had me going,
Why I ever gave you a chance,
There is no way of knowing.
I guess I should thank you,
You really helped me out,
You broke my heart,
So I now know what love is about.
I don't hold a grudge,
Im not even angry,
You breaking my heart,
Is what finally changed me.
