Southern Tempest
I’m a daughter to the Sky,
Sister to the winds
East, North and West
I’m Southern Tempest
I’m that sudden scattered shower on a sunny day
A gust that sways a still hammock
I’m that pleasant cooling waft on a hot summer day
And the torrential storm that washes away rainbow dreams
I caress my lover within the warmth of gentle light gusts
Stroke his ego with hot sweaty whispers
Sooth his loneliness with blistering currents of floating kisses
I can be tranquil and still allowing silence to consume
or I can be a zephyr of destruction, obliterating everything in sight.
No, I’m no delicate Southern Belle
I’m the dreaded Southern Tempest
Sister to the winds
East, North and West
I’m Southern Tempest
I’m that sudden scattered shower on a sunny day
A gust that sways a still hammock
I’m that pleasant cooling waft on a hot summer day
And the torrential storm that washes away rainbow dreams
I caress my lover within the warmth of gentle light gusts
Stroke his ego with hot sweaty whispers
Sooth his loneliness with blistering currents of floating kisses
I can be tranquil and still allowing silence to consume
or I can be a zephyr of destruction, obliterating everything in sight.
No, I’m no delicate Southern Belle
I’m the dreaded Southern Tempest
