One More Tear
Behind the door softly weeping
One more scar, one more beating
One more tear, they fall like rain
Deep inside she hides the pain
Not understanding why
she covers up their lies
Unquestioned love
"Why don’t they love me back?"
They try to cover up her wounds
Child of innocence, an angel soon
No more tears
no more sorrow
One more lost
to a brighter tomorrow
One more scar, one more beating
One more tear, they fall like rain
Deep inside she hides the pain
Not understanding why
she covers up their lies
Unquestioned love
"Why don’t they love me back?"
They try to cover up her wounds
Child of innocence, an angel soon
No more tears
no more sorrow
One more lost
to a brighter tomorrow

You might want to categorize this under "Abusive Child" Love....sad, so much of this shit takes place. It doesn't have to be a long poem to elaborate the pain Soul Man.

It is a brutal reality for many.
Shocking how many girls have been abused in their lives. Most never talk of it.
Thanks, Bro

Wow, this is really good! And I'm not just saying that. This poem actually brought tears to my eyes, and I rarely ever cry. You did an amazing job with the rhyming too! Keep it up! :)

In this "age of enlightenment" is is unacceptable that such wickedness continues.

Hmmm... this one speaks to wounded woman in me and the soul weary tiredness that overwhelms me sometimes.

Good day Gypsy Red. Thank you and may the weary be replaced with a vitality that courses your souls veins!

This was very sad.
I hate the fact that abuse of any kind goes on at all. It breaks my heart.
Great job

I agree. Abuse of any kind is unacceptable. As a society here, we have desensitized many regarding violence and abuse as the preponderance of venues depicting this wickedness as "cool" abound.
Thank you

one more tear she cries today
hoping tomorrow she cries no more
wounds are turning into scars
tears washing away a memory
she gives her whole heart
with nothing in return for her love
she wakes each day to the morning light
hoping it will not rain fall today
Mmmm! Nice poem when triggers anothers poets heart. I personally can relate to this poem. Great write!! :)
