It's hard to stay loyal to those who stand by. As they fall to their knees. And do nothing as you die.
For the only thing that pulls you back from the grave. Is your nature to defy. And you'll go to any extremes for the ideals you live by.
Principles that keep you from going blind. and settling beneath a corrupted flag. That those closest to you believe is a lie. Forcing you to come face to face with a truth you can't deny.
A realization that breaks the heart. But forces you to rise. That those you love were available to buy. And the only way to save them is to show the world through free eyes.

watching their expressions as they try to wrap their heads around the decisions you make is the greatest feeling. trust me it is not something that diminishes with time. you like shocking them now.
